What if you could grow a plant in your garden that was so nutritious and full of protein you could live on it if you had to? And you could feed it to animals and they could live on it too? What if the fiber that was left after you took the food seeds from this plant was something you could make your clothes out of? Not only that but paper, fiberboard and other building materials you could literally build your house out of? What if this plant also had the ability to provide biomass or biodiesel for fuel to power your car and house? What if this plant grew in poor soil, and only took four to six months to grow from seed to maturity instead of the 35 years it takes to grow a tree?
There is such a plant; it is the industrial hemp version of cannabis and it does not get you high. It is legal to grow in Montana just as medical marijuana is legal but guess which is easier to do? Right you are – get approved to grow medical marijuana.
This is crap, it needs to stop and the way to do this is to end cannabis prohibition once and for all. The excuse of not being able to tell the difference between cannabis for smoking and cannabis for industrial uses becomes invalid, and society wins.
