As a fellow military veteran, Andrew Person shares my view that government exists for all the community and we jointly agree to fund it through our taxes. For those voters who are sick of gridlock in government, I strongly encourage you to support his running as a Democrat for House District 96.
He once told me that when he served in the military, he and his friends weren’t fighting for any particular ideology – they fought for the country. He believes in bringing that same spirit to the legislature – he wants to work to bring more jobs to Missoula, stand up for our public schools and protect our public lands from reckless proposals that may force them to be sold to the highest bidder.
His opponent, Lyn Hellegaard, on the other hand, has shown time and time again that she is willing to put partisanship ahead of service. During her service on the City Council I can’t think of a single time where she reached out to those with political differences hoping to work out a compromise. If she is elected I am confident she will bring more fighting and more gridlock to our Legislature.

Let’s give Person a chance to continue his outstanding record of service to our state and country.
