Letter: AHSA support for Obama is misleading

I'm tired of the lies from Sen. Obama. The American Hunters and Shooters Association, and their founder Ray Schoenke, have been stumping for Obama non-stop across America touting how Obama will protect our gun rights. Who are they fooling?

For those who don't know, the AHSA was founded only two years ago and I can only surmise from their actions they were founded with the sole purpose of giving "legitimacy" to Democrats claiming a "pro-gun" stance. The AHSA itself is vehemently against the National Rifle Association, and the ownership of many different types of firearms. It is interesting to note that the AHSA "contact us" link on their Web page is no longer working - most likely shut down because they don't want to hear from real gun owners concerned about firearms ownership.

Obama was all for the unconstitutional handgun ban imposed by Washington D.C., and picked Joe Biden for his vice presidential running mate, one of the most anti-gun senators to ever stand in the halls of Congress. We are now supposed to believe these people are now pro-gun? We are supposed to believe they have seen the light and will not support gun bans, restrictions and even confiscations? I'm not stupid, and I don't think most Montanans are stupid either. If Obama and Biden are elected they will push for and get sweeping gun control. I just hope I don't have to write the "I told you so" letter to the Missoulian.
