I was delighted to read about the Public Service Announcement being developed by Montana Motorcycle Rider Safety, in the June 14 edition of the Missoulian.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Mark Monaco since 2004 and have been impressed by his passion for safe motorcycling. He will be great in this spot.
One thing I would like to clarify is that Montana Motorcycle Rider Safety is wholly funded by the motorcyclist of Montana. This funding comes from three sources: tuition students pay to participate in MMRS courses across the state, by a safety fee on every motorcycle licensed for street use in Montana and by a portion of any Montana driver's license that carries a motorcycle endorsement.
More information on the mission of Montana Motorcycle Rider Safety can be obtained from their Web site, http://motorcycle.msun.edu, or by contacting Michele Calvert, MMRS director, at 1-800-922-BIKE (1-800-922-2453).
