Karen Townsend is running for District Court Judge in Missoula. Voters have the opportunity to elect a knowledgeable, talented and committed officer of the Court.
Karen Townsend will be an effective judge. As a prosecutor for Missoula County for 18 years, Townsend was a tenacious advocate for the people of Missoula. Townsend has also served the greater community by acting as both an instructor and director of the Advanced Trial Advocacy program, as a pro bono publico attorney in family law cases, and as trial team coach at the University of Montana School of Law. Townsend served as chief staff attorney for the County Prosecutors Bureau of the Montana Attorney General's Office in Helena, as special assistant to the U.S. attorney in Billings, and as director of training for the National College of District Attorneys.
Karen Townsend is the best choice for judge in the upcoming election. As is true all over the state, the criminal case docket in Missoula is crowded. Townsend will be a great asset to the court in this regard - no other candidate possesses the same credentials in criminal law as Townsend. Townsend's dedication, fairness and intelligence will be great assets to the bench when presiding over civil cases as well.
Karen Townsend has the support of other judges in the Fourth Judicial District. "Karen has been my trusted colleague for most of our careers," says District Judge Dusty Deschamps. "Karen's years of broad-based, untiring and compassionate service to others through education, public service and the law has made the world a better place for all of us. I can't think of anyone who is more deserving or better suited in every possible way to serve our community as a district judge."
I urge you to support Karen Townsend as District Court judge.
