Montanans, tell representatives in Congress to oppose Time-Comcast merger

In the very near future, the Federal Communication Commission will be looking into the merger of Time Warner and Comcast. It’s well known that this will most likely hurt consumers’ access to affordable Internet and cable, as it will stymie competition in an already very concentrated area. Comcast alone spent almost $19 million lobbying Congress last year, and is going to be spending more in 2014, to get this merger approved despite general public disapproval.

If you are one of the many, many people who do not want Comcast to buy out Time Warner and further strangle the telecommunications market, getting Comcast more money at the expense of the people of America, I urge you to contact Sen. John Walsh, Sen. Jon Tester and Rep. Steve Daines, and encourage them to say no to this disastrous deal. Your voice can speak louder than their money, but only if you actually take the time to use it.
