Republicans believe people smart enough to make their own health care choices

President Ronald Reagan once said, “Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.“

Democrats believe just the opposite. They believe everything should be fixed by government. They believe the average citizen is either not smart enough or too greedy to make the right decisions, so government has to make regulations to control them.

Case in point: Years ago a health care expert told me 35 percent of health care cost was due to government paperwork and regulation. Government continues to intrude into health care causing costs to go up further. Now, the Democrat solution is Obamacare: a complete takeover of health care. Obamacare was passed by a Democrat president and Democrat-controlled Senate and House while the people of America were begging for them to not burden us with this bill. They passed Obamacare using secret deals like the “Cornhusker Bailout.“

So, what does this mean to Montana? Here’s the facts: Sen. Jon Tester, who is asking for your vote, held the deciding vote and sold us down the drain by voting for Obamacare. Montana Attorney General Steve Bullock, who is asking for your vote, would not join other states in stopping Obamacare because he is for it, also. Every Democrat candidate asking for your vote this election, from the presidential candidate down through the local candidates, supports Obamacare and will not fight it. This is not speculation. It is based on the fact that they have all signed on to the Democrat Party, whose platform supports Obamacare.

I am tired of government interference and regulations. Something else President Ronald Reagan said was, “The nine most dangerous words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government, and I’m here to help’.”

Montanans are smart enough to make their own decisions. That’s why I’m voting Republican this election and I hope you will join me in doing so.
