The holiday season is time to reflect on the past year, create goals and give thanks for the blessings we have received. This year, in the midst of conflict and political tension, the U.S. Congress and Senate have given Montana a tremendous gift that will benefit generations of Montanans for years to come.
This December, the Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act passed the Senate after making its way through the House. The act protects over 270,000 acres in the Rocky Mountain Front, safeguarding forever areas I use to hunt, fish, hike and more. To add to our celebration, this act designates the first wilderness in Montana in over 30 years.
A big thank you goes to U.S. Rep. Steve Daines and U.S. Sens. Jon Tester and John Walsh for recognizing the importance of preserving the beauty and integrity of Montana. When we work side-by-side to form a bill like the Heritage Act, we expect to see our politicians do the same. It’s refreshing to see this bi-partisan representation of Montanans, and is greatly appreciated. We hope this is a promising sign for the upcoming years. Thank you for the fantastic note to end this year!
