An Amber Alert has been issued for 16-year-old Sandy Moore of Sheridan, missing since early Wednesday morning.
Moore has brown hair, brown eyes, wears glasses and is mentally delayed, according to the alert. She was last seen wearing a white shirt with black short sleeves and jeans.
Authorities believe she was taken from her home by 60-year-old Rodney Lee Zahn, a registered violent offender who is violating his probation. Zahn is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds, has brown eyes, and short gray-and-brown hair. He has a Tazmanian Devil tattoo on his left upper arm and a tattoo of a cross on his left hand.
According to the Montana Department of Corrections, Zahn was sentenced to in 2013 to five years under DOC supervision, with part of his sentence suspended, for aggravated felony assault and assault.
They are possibly on their way to Billings or Boise. Law enforcement is seeking a black 1987 Ford pickup – Montana license plate 3-50558B, with a white toolbox and green bicycle in back, pulling a tan and white fifth-wheel trailer with a red generator and blue cover on the back of the trailer.
