The aftershocks of the previous day’s train wreck and chlorine spill near Alberton sank in at an informational meeting at the Village Red Lion.
Hundreds of residents were told it would probably be two weeks before they could return home. Interstate 90 between St. Regis and the Wye would be closed for two weeks.
Starting the next day, residents would be allowed into the area for two hours to feed animals. Emergency crews and equipment were being rushed to the scene. One specialized car from Seattle was blocked when a second Montana Rail Link train derailed near Noxon.
