HELENA - Neil Livingstone and Ryan Zinke, Republican candidates for governor and lieutenant governor, on Sunday proudly showed off the 38-foot recreational vehicle decorated with their larger-than-life photos and campaign information.
But then Zinke accidentally got the big rig rolling before he could stop it, and it slowly ran into a Helena supporter's 1964 sky blue Chevrolet Camaro convertible.
There appeared to be little damage to the car, but Zinke was a red-faced for awhile.
Zinke said his "beautiful wife" bought him the RV, which was slightly used. He's letting the campaign use it and the two men intend to travel from one end of the state to the other in it.
They may pull out the awning, set up chairs and invite Montanans to come and talk to them individually, he said.
Besides the usual couches that fold into beds and pull out beds, the specially equipped RV has a television, a satellite dish and wireless Internet connection for the candidates' use.
Their first trip as a team will be to the Flathead on Monday.
