BILLINGS - A Billings man who pleaded guilty to felony drunken driving for his sixth DUI was sentenced to five years at Montana State Prison.
District Judge Ingrid Gustafson sentenced William H. Grisham on Friday, noting the man's latest DUI arrest came just five weeks after his 15-year-old son was shot to death.
But she said Grisham, 37, only made the situation worse and put other people at risk by drinking and driving. Grisham's son, William Grisham Jr., was shot July 17 while he and two other teens handled a stolen gun. Gregory Williams, also 15, has been charged with murder.
The elder Grisham was arrested Aug. 22. Prosecutors said his blood-alcohol content was 0.225 percent, nearly three times the state legal limit of 0.08 percent.
