BUTTE - The Montana Supreme Court has reprimanded a Butte attorney for what the state Commission on Practice called a "continuing pattern of unethical conduct."
Walter Hennessey was issued a public censure Wednesday afternoon and ordered to pay the costs of the disciplinary hearing.
Hennessey was reprimanded for his handling of a wrongful discharge case he took in April 2002. The state's Office of Disciplinary Counsel found that Hennessey breached four of the Montana Rules for Professional Conduct.
The counsel determined Hennessey didn't communicate and respond to his client in a timely matter. The commission also noted Hennessey has numerous prior ethical violations and there are other complaints pending.
