BILLINGS - A judge has dismissed a charge of violating a restraining order filed against the former husband of a Glendive woman whose body was found in the Yellowstone River last month.

Walter Larson of Billings was arrested on April 14 for violating a restraining order Susan Casey had filed against him in 1998.

Officers investigating Casey's disappearance found 44 attempted phone calls from Larson's cell phone to Casey's cell phone in the days before she was reported missing.

Larson's attorney asked that the charge be dismissed because he said Larson wasn't notified of the restraining order.

Dawson County Attorney Scott Herring said Justice of the Peace Ed Williamson dismissed the charge Monday.

Casey was reported missing on April 12. Her body was found on May 6 near Fallon. Officials say her death is suspicious, but have not said how she died.
