Election Day is quickly approaching, with only a few mailing days left to return your ballot. The Missoula County Elections Office strongly urges registered Missoula city residents to return their ballot before 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. Please allow several days for return by mail or drop off your ballot at the Elections Center at the Missoula County Fairgrounds or at the Elections' Office at the Missoula County Courthouse, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The Elections Office currently notes a 25 percent overall return rate, but hopes to see that number increase significantly before Election Day. Municipal election ballots were mailed to registered city voters on Oct. 24. City residents registered to vote should have already received a ballot.

If you are not currently registered, if you moved within the city, or if you did not receive a ballot, you must go to the Elections Center at the fairgrounds to register or update your address and receive your ballot. The Elections Center hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Friday, Nov. 4. On Monday, Nov. 7 late registration hours are 8 a.m. until noon. Late registration re-opens on Election Day from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

On Election Day, ballots may be dropped off at the following locations:

• Cold Springs School

• Elections Center at the Fairgrounds, Fine Arts Building 15

• Hellgate Elementary School

• Paxson School

• Russell School

• Courthouse Elections Office

• Franklin School

• Lowell School

• Rattlesnake School
