Flathead County prosecutor back at work after domestic violence arrest

KALISPELL — A Flathead County deputy prosecutor on paid administrative leave after being charged with misdemeanor partner or family member assault late last month has returned to work.

Kenneth "Rusty" Park is back at work in a limited administrative basis.

Flathead County Attorney Ed Corrigan says he wasn't inclined to give Park a paid vacation.

Park was arrested April 26, and Park's wife has filed a restraining order as part of divorce proceedings.

Park's arrest drew added attention because Justice of the Peace Mark Sullivan held an initial appearance hearing after midnight and released Park on his own recognizance.

Normally, a person arrested on Friday night would spend the weekend in jail before receiving a court hearing.
