OGDEN, Utah - Police say a 29-year-old Montana man has died following a skydiving accident near an Ogden airport.

Ogden Police Lt. Eric Young says Arlyn Creek, of Gardiner, Mont., collided in the air with another skydiver during a descent Wednesday. The collision caused Creek's open parachute to malfunction and he tumbled about 100 feet to the ground.

Young says Creek suffered massive traumatic injuries and was taken to Ogden Regional Medical Center where he later died.

An autopsy to determine Creek's specific injuries was scheduled.

Young says Creek was an experienced skydiver who had made previous jumps out of the Ogden-Hinckley Airport. Its not clear if Creek had any connection to the other skydiver. That man's name was not immediately released.
