KALISPELL — Tourists visiting Glacier National Park last year contributed $344 million to economy in areas around the park.

The National Park Service says 2018 spending was up 25% over the $275 million spent in 2017. The Daily Inter Lake reports visitors spent 40% of those dollars on lodging, 16% at restaurants and 10% for transportation at businesses within 60 miles of the park's borders.
