HELENA - Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 29th for a Helena man who sent obscene material to a teenage girl he pursued through the Internet's My Space.
Thirty-seven-year-old Daniel Dietz on Friday pleaded guilty to federal charges of coercion and enticement, and transfer of obscene material to minors.
Prosecutors say Dietz met a 13-year-old girl at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting in Helena, searched for her My Space account and she put him on her "friends" list. Prosecutors say Dietz sent the girl a sexually revealing picture of himself and they engaged in sexual activity several times in Helena.
The possible penalty ranges from five years to life in prison, plus a $250,000 fine.
