KALISPELL - A man was killed Monday afternoon in an officer-involved shooting at a home west of here, according to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened at about 1:45 p.m.
The sheriff's office SWAT team arrived at a home on Mountain Meadow Road to serve a "high-risk" arrest warrant, Sheriff Mike Meehan said in a news release.
The warrant, for felony aggravated assault, stemmed from a domestic altercation that happened Sunday.
After the SWAT team entered the home, shots were fired, and the man named on the warrant was killed, Meehan said. The man's name was not released.
No other injuries were reported.
Meehan said he has asked the Kalispell Police Department to assist in the investigation.
Deputies responded to the same home Sunday night, after hearing reports of a man threatening to shoot his wife with a 12-gauge shotgun, authorities said.
