BILLINGS - A Billings woman whose booking shots were distributed on a poster to show the effects of methamphetamine addiction has been sentenced to prison for trafficking the drug.
U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull sentenced 31-year-old Jamie Ady Alatorre to 7½ years in prison Thursday. Her husband, Antonio Alatorre, who had pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge, was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison.
Before the sentencing, Cebull held up a poster produced by the Billings Police Department with seven booking shots of Jamie Alatorre from 2000 to 2005, chronicling the effects of her meth addiction. The final photo shows a smiling, happy-looking Alatorre and said she had been meth free for 10 months.
Alatorre said she started using again after being clean for four years.
