HELENA - Montana Republicans say they would like to impede implementation of national health care plans through legislative action.
But since lawmakers in Montana don't come into session until next year, the GOP is hoping to tap public backlash against the reform plans moving through Congress.
First thing Monday morning, the Montana Republican Party sent a note to members asking for money and help in fighting health care reform.
Executive director Bowen Greenwood says the party is seeing a lot of energy driven by anger over health care reform. He says it could be a winning issue for Republicans who want to impede or undo it.
