HELENA n Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, will be spending Friday, the Fourth of July, in Butte, CNN is reporting.
Obama is expected to take part in Butte's Fourth of July parade.
CNN's political ticker said Monday that Obama will be in Butte "with the whole Obama family out on the trail."
Mike Dorsey, Obama's campaign director in Montana, said, "Right now, we cannot yet confirm it."
Other sources said Obama will be in Butte, but the campaign cannot announce it yet.
It would be Obama's second visit to Butte in the campaign. He and his rival, Hillary Clinton, both spoke at the Montana Democratic Party's Mansfield-Metcalf dinner on April 5. The event at the Butte Civic Center drew 4,500 people.
It would be Obama's fourth visit to Montana this year.
