BUTTE - The owner of Butte's Copper King Hotel says the building won't be torn down if a buyer isn't found this month.
Owner Ken Burningham had previously said he would tear down the building and sell the 14.5 acres of land to Asian investors. Now he says demolition of the building would be too costly.

Burningham, a Seattle developer, plans to go forward with a liquidation sale of equipment in March if the hotel isn't sold by then.
Joe Kissock of Kissock Realty in Butte says he has several parties interested in the property.
The 146-room hotel and convention center closed in September, putting 75 people out of work.
