Window installers Steve Schmaus, left, and Tony Hage work on opposite sides of a pane of glass Tuesday while installing it to protect a restored stained glass window at St. Francis Xavier Church. Stained glass artisan Dennis Lippert has been restoring the windows, originally placed in the church in 1903, and part of the restoration includes placing a clear pane of glass on the exterior of the windows to replace an opaque plastic covering put there in the 1970s.
