HELENA - Police have cited an 18-year-old woman whose pit bull attacked a golfer in Helena over the weekend.
Police Chief Troy McGee says Kayla Lynn Stringer, of Helena, was ticketed for having a vicious animal and for having two dogs at large, all misdemeanors. She also received tickets for not having licenses or proof of rabies shots for her dogs.
The 51-year-old victim told police she was alone on the Bill Roberts Golf Course on Saturday when she was approached by two dogs. One of the dogs - a pit bull - attacked her, leaving multiple bite wounds on her right forearm.
The dog was Tasered by responding officers and was later euthanized at Stringer's request. The other dog - a pit bull cross - was returned to Stringer.
