When the starting gun sends off runners in the seventh annual Missoula Marathon on Sunday, they’ll be headed into a pleasant day weatherwise.

The temperature at 6 a.m. is expected to be around 50 degrees, with 75 percent to 80 percent relative humidity and a light southwest wind, according Al Kolata, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Missoula.

The day will unfold with partly cloudy skies that will linger all day, and the temperature rise to 70 to 75 degrees between 10 a.m. and noon, and will likely reach a high of 85 around 5 p.m.
