Montana's Race to the Sky dogsled race will have its first twilight start this Saturday.
Race officials said Wednesday the starts for both the 100-mile and 300-mile races have been moved back another two hours, this time to 6 p.m. at the Morrell Creek Trailhead north of Seeley Lake.
The traditional afternoon start in Lincoln was changed early in the week due to warm weather and deteriorating snow conditions.
Veterinarian check for the 300-mile race is set for Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Murdochs in Helena. The 100-mile race vet check will be Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Cory's Valley Market in Seeley.
