HELENA (AP) - A body recovered along the Dearborn River north of Helena is believed to be that of a rafter missing since May 25, Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Cheryl Liedle said Friday.
A search party with dogs found the body of a man at midday Friday, Liedle said.
The body was a mile or so from the place where a rafting accident occurred last month when the Dearborn was swollen and moving fast, she said.
A Helena man who survived the accident was rescued the night of May 25 and the body of a woman from Tacoma, Wash., was recovered the next day.
Murky, high water hindered the search for the missing man, identified by the sheriff's department as Jeff Rayman, 44, of Helena.
