Two vehicles were reportedly disabled and one required towing after a rock slide on Montana Highway 83 near Salmon Lake shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Paige Pavalone of the Missoula County Sheriff's Department said the initial report didn't indicate if the rocks hit the cars or vice versa. No injuries were reported. Montana Highway Patrol and rural firefighters are on the scene, as was an off-duty sheriff's deputy.
"It sounds like all the debris was removed pretty quickly," Pavalone said.
