The Montana Community Foundation announced more than 50 academic scholarships will be available for Montana students for the 2015-16 school year.
For the previous year, the foundation awarded nearly $300,000 in scholarships to Montana students. Scholarship awards are made possible by the generous donors who have established scholarship funds at the foundation.
“Our scholarship program here at Montana Community Foundation is robust and growing,” said Mary Rutherford, foundation president and chief executive officer. “We’re here to help preserve Montana’s future and one of the very best ways we can accomplish that is by helping our students achieve their academic goals.”
Qualifications vary widely, resulting in scholarship eligibility for a diverse range of students. For most scholarships, students can apply online beginning Jan. 1, 2015. The closing date for most scholarship applications is March 15, 2015. Scholarship awards generally range between $500 and $5,000, some of which are renewable for multiple years.
