A search is underway Friday for a missing 25-year-old skier from Colorado at Lost Trail Ski area.

A search is underway Friday for a missing skier at Lost Trail Ski area.

The 25-year-old Colorado man was reported missing Thursday after not meeting up with his party in the afternoon, said Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton.

The Lost Trail Ski Area patrol and Ravalli County Search and Rescue searched into the early morning hours with help from a LifeFlight helicopter and thermal imaging drone.

The search resumed at daylight Friday morning.

People recreating in the Lost Trail area are asked to be aware of the situation and notify the sheriff’s office or Lost Trail Ski Patrol if they observe any indication on where the man might have been.

The Ravalli County Search and Rescue has set up an incident command post at the ski area to coordinate the search and receive information.
