BILLINGS - A St. Xavier man who pleaded guilty to distribution of methamphetamine has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
U.S. District Judge Jack Shanstrom on Wednesday also fined 55-year-old Jim Stone $20,000.
Prosecutors say Stone had distributed more than 2 kilograms of methamphetamine on the Crow Indian Reservation.
Prosecutors say searches of Stone's home in October 2007 and February 2008 turned up drug residue, packaging materials, ledgers and other paraphernalia. Authorities also found methamphetamine on Stone and recovered more of the drug Stone threw out of his car while being chased by officers, according to prosecutors.
