Good Tuesday morning, western Montana!
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Missoula, Bitterroot, Flathead and Mission valleys, in effect through 11 a.m.
Light snow accumulations are expected to create slick roads during the morning commute to school and work, so take care.
Overnight snowfall left between 1 inch and 3 inches of snow in the valleys and benches of western Montana.
Locations impacted include Flathead Lake, the Flathead Valley, Polson, the Bitterroot Valley and Missoula.
Be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
The Weather Service says to expect snow showers to continue this morning, then to taper off.
Today's high should be near 38 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
Tonight, look for a 30 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before 11 p.m. The overnight low should be around 21.
