The Bitter Root Water Forum is providing an easy and effective way for community members to address the issue of keeping water safe for consumption a free water screening. Well owners are invited to bring a water sample in a glass jar to BRWF’s Hamilton Farmers Market booth from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21.

By using testing strips that measure Ph, hardness, alkalinity, nitrates and nitrites, well owners can assess their water for any extreme contamination. BRWF will also provide Montana State University's "Well Educated" take home testing kits for those interested in a more comprehensive assessment- take one with you at no cost and pay the low fee of $10- $40 to MSU when you send it in. The amount you pay is dependant upon your choice of parameters to be tested.
