PRYOR - A woman died after her vehicle rolled end-over-end on Pryor Gap Road on Sunday near Pryor.
The incident occurred at about 11:20 a.m., Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Dave Munson said.
The crash was reported by drivers passing by the scene, he said. She was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The female, whose age and hometown have not been released, was driving northbound on Pryor Gap Road when her vehicle went off the westbound side of the roadway.
Her car rolled through a drainage ditch and tumbled end-over-end until it came to rest in a field, Munson said. During the crash, she was partially ejected from the vehicle.
An American Medical Response ambulance transported the woman to Billings Clinic, where she succumbed to her injuries.
She was probably not wearing a seat belt, Munson said. Whether she was under the influence of alcohol or if speed was a factor is unknown.
MHP is assisting the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the FBI with crash investigation.
