The recent column (Oct. 9) by the head of the Alliance for the Wild Rockies shows their pathetic delusions continue.
Trying to improve the genetics in grizzly bears by having them trek from the Northern Rockies to Yellowstone down the length of the Bitterroots, past thousands of homes, orchards and garbage cans, without encountering people, is either the height of insanity or stupidity.
Years ago the governor of Idaho said "no" to this delusion. He was not willing to risk a few kids at bus stops along the way for the delusional fantasy of the bear advocates.
Get off it, folks. We have lots of grizzlies, and as long as they stay away from people we can get along. If genetic mixing is so important, truck in a few. They wouldn't care how they got there.
