I was truly impressed and greatly appreciated the ecumenical service sponsored by the Garden City Funeral Home. This service, held on Dec. 2 at their facility, provided an opportunity for family and friends to gather and pay tribute to those who have passed away. It was a time for sharing memories and forge new friendships.
Those in attendance were given a candle that was lighted at the conclusion of the service. That candle is now displayed on my dresser as a constant reminder of my wife, who passed away in September. Following the service the guests were treated to a wonderful luncheon buffet.
In a world where corporate greed seems to becoming more prevalent, it is so refreshing to see a business sponsor a community event that speaks to our Christian values. Thank you Garden City Funeral Home.
