I recently attended a luncheon for U.S. Sen. Jon Tester. He said a couple of things that I feel are worth repeating.
When asked about the Supreme Court of the United States appointment, he said, do your research and if you like the candidate tell your senators, and if you don't, tell us and why. There was no name-calling or politicizing, just a suggestion to do what is right.
He also said he continues to farm because it is important to come home, work and connect with the people of Montana.
And finally, he is running against Matt Rosendale, not Donald Trump.
Throughout, he appeared humble and very knowledgeable. I'm a third-generation Montanan and Jon Tester is one of us.
