Missoulian Wednesday night, live or televised

Interested residents of Missoula County's largest school district will have an opportunity Wednesday to listen to the views of the six candidates running for trustee positions.

The Lewis and Clark School PTA and the League of Women Voters will play host to a candidate forum from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Missoula County Public Schools Business Building, 915 South Ave. W. The forum will also be televised live on MCAT.

Candidates expected to attend include the four people running for two open three-year elementary seats on the board - Olan "Bubba" Alsup, Jenda Cummings, Colleen Rogers and incumbent Barb Seekins. Also invited to participate are Joyce Easter and James Sadler, the two incumbent high school trustees who are running unopposed for the seats they currently hold.

The candidates will each have the opportunity to introduce themselves, discuss their philosophy and answer questions.

Organizers ask that people with questions for the candidates submit them before or at the beginning of the forum. Questions will be compiled by subject matter by a committee of parents and members of the PTA and League of Women Voters.

If you are unable to attend the forum, but have a question to submit, call 728-2400, ext. 4393.
