It'd be hard to have lived in Missoula the past eight months and never heard the name Bob Stitt. The Grizzlies' first-year head football coach has been everywhere, whether out recruiting, shaking hands with fans and boosters or trying out the local links with his clubs.

But who are those other dozen guys on the sidelines or in the booth on game day? A head man is only as good as his assistants.

Stitt brought with him four coaches when he made the jump from NCAA Division II Colorado School of Mines to UM last December. Four more coaches were hired soon after as Stitt put together his hand-picked his crew.

Stitt's varied staff ranges in age by more than 20 years. Some have more than a dozen years of coaching experience, as many as 18 even. Others are making their first stops in the college ranks.

Three of the new hires once played at UM while one has also coached in Missoula before.

But before the Grizzlies kick off their season in three weeks against North Dakota State on Aug. 29, let's meet the new coaches.
