EAST MISSOULA – The fate of sidewalks, crosswalks and street lights in East Missoula now rests in the hands of Montana’s congressional delegation.

Partisan gridlock in Washington, D.C., over how to fund transportation projects nationwide has sidelined the work while politicians debate a ban on federal earmarks.

But East Missoula’s infrastructure did get a boost when it was featured in the national trade blog, Transportation Issues Daily, as part of a series called “Unfunded Needs.” The blog highlights transportation projects nationwide that – if funded – could improve communities, and increase commerce or travel options.

EAST MISSOULA - What a difference a parking lot makes.

On one side Jason Tonn will walk you into River of Hope, where his vigorous young church, River of Life, is expanding to include a clothing closet and a branch of the Montana Food Bank Network.
