COLUMBIA FALLS - A power supply deal could reenergize more than 300 jobs at Columbia Falls Aluminum Co.

The Bonneville Power Administration is considering a four and a half-year contract to sell 140 megawatt hours to CFAC, which would be enough to power two of the mill's five aluminum pot lines. Mill owner Glencore International is considering adding a third pot line to the deal.

"The potential employment is why we're so interested and hoping we can move forward," BPA spokesman Mike Hansen said on Friday.
