Montana squandered a 10-point lead with 10 minutes to play and dropped a 67-62 decision to South Dakota in a nonconference men's basketball game Sunday afternoon at Dahlberg Arena.
The Griz, who have lost three straight and five of their last six, fell to 3-7. Their next game will be their Big Sky Conference opener Jan. 1 at home against Northern Colorado.
The Griz played without starters Mike Weisner (sprained ankle), Martin Breunig (sprained ankle) and Jermaine Edmonds (undisclosed reasons).
Tyler Larson led South Dakota (5-8) with 15 points.
Jordan Gregory led the Griz with 18 points.
