WHITEFISH - Joe Pistorese of the Class AA Kalispell Lakers struck out the final four batters he faced to seal a perfect game against the Glacier Twins in a nine-inning American Legion baseball game on Tuesday night.

Pistorese didn't allow a hit or issue any walks in earning the 8-0 victory. He had 14 strikeouts and Kalispell didn't commit any errors in the field. It was the conference opener for both teams.

It's the first perfect game for the Lakers in at least five years, the team said. Pistorese's battery mate Zach Brosten went 2 for 4 with a home run and three runs batted in.
