HELENA — The Missoula Osprey scored six runs across the seventh and eighth innings to rally for a 6-4 road win over the Helena Brewers on Tuesday.
Osprey catcher Gavin Stupienski drove in three runs and scored two more as he went 3-for-4 at the plate to up his average to .342. Francis Martinez went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
The O's scored all of their runs off of Helena relievers. They tagged Cody Beckman and Cameron Hanes for three runs apiece. Starter Gabe Friese had limited the Osprey to two hits and one walk in six innings.
Missoula starting pitcher Cesilio Pimentel earned the win on the mound to improve to 2-2. He held Helena to two runs on six hits in six innings. He struck out four and walked one.
Cole Bartlett earned his fourth save of the season.
Trailing 2-0 in the top of the seventh inning, Stupienski got the Osprey on the board with a line-drive double to right field that drove in Ernie De La Trinidad.
Francis Martinez brought home Juan Araujo with a single to center field. Stupienski scored when Eduardo Diaz hit an infield single to second baseman Franly Mallen.
The Osprey added to their lead when Stupienski hit a two-run double to center field. His eighth-inning hit drove home Keshawn Lynch and De La Trinidad.
Francis Martinez then drove home Stupienski when he hit a line-drive single to left field.
Helena had jumped out to a 2-0 lead on Jose Gomez's two-run, line-drive double to left field off of Pimentel in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Down for the first time, Helena fought back when KJ Harrison hit a two-run home run to left-center field off of reliever Jeff Bain in the eighth inning.
The Osprey stranded six runners on base, while the Brewers left five.
The O's begin their final homestand of the regular season when they host Great Falls for a two-game series on Wednesday and Thursday at Ogren-Allegiance Park. First pitch for both games in scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
They then travel to Great Falls for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday before the playoffs start on Sunday.
