JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Daniel Robertson had three hits and two RBI, and Taylor Widener struck out 12 hitters over six innings as the Jackson Generals defeated the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 11-3 on Wednesday.
Widener (4-3) picked up the win after he walked two while allowing three hits.
Jackson started the scoring in the second inning when Jose Vinicio hit an RBI single and then scored on a two-run single by Robertson.
Jackson later scored in three additional innings, including a five-run seventh, when Marcus Littlewood hit a two-run home run to help punctuate the blowout.
Cody Poteet (2-7) went six innings, allowing five runs and seven hits in the Southern League game. He also struck out five and walked two.
Rodrigo Vigil doubled and singled twice, driving in a run and also scoring one for the Jumbo Shrimp.
With the win, Jackson improved to 5-1 against Jacksonville this season.
