BOZEMAN – Aerick Sanders, a longtime professional player in Europe who played college basketball at San Diego State, joined the Montana State men’s basketball coaching staff on Thursday, Bobcat coach Brad Huse announced.

Huse welcomed the former SDSU All-Mountain West selection who served as Aztecs’ team captain as a senior.

“I’m excited that someone with Aerick’s background is joining our coaching staff,” Huse said. “He was known as an over-achiever as a player, but he has great experience and comes highly recommended. Aerick is very personable and will relate well with our players. He has had a lot of success in his life, and he’ll be an excellent addition to our staff.”

The addition of Sanders rounds out MSU’s coaching staff after assistant coach Temesghen Starr accepted a fund-raising position on the MSU campus.
