GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Lexi Klabo scored 22 points and brought down eight rebounds and teammate Fallyn Freije netted 21 points and eight boards in a 79-70 win over Montana State in Big Sky Conference women's basketball on Saturday.

It was the first Big Sky win of the season for North Dakota (8-7, 1-3). MSU fell to 8-6, 2-2.

Hannah Caudill scored 24 points and hauled down five boards for the Bobcats. Rebekah Hatchard added 17 points.

North Dakota outrebounded MSU 46-30. North Dakota was also 23 of 29 at the charity stripe, while the Bobcats were 8 of 9. 

"We put ourselves in a huge hole on the glass and at the foul line," MSU coach Tricia Binford said in a press release from the school. 

MSU will host Portland State on Thursday.
