DAVIS, Calif. — The Montana women's volleyball team remained winless on the young season after dropping a 3-0 decision to San Jose State on Saturday at the Aggie Classic.

The Spartans (1-2) won 25-21, 25-15, 25-22 to drop Montana to 0-3.

The Griz again had a tough time at the net, compiling a hitting percentage of just .091. San Jose State hit at a .359 clip.

Janna Grimsrud and Amethyst Harper led the Griz with seven kills apiece. Casey Stites dished out 20 assists and Sarina Moreno had 12 digs.

Caitlin Bettenay led San Jose State with 11 kills.

Montana returns to action Friday when it plays in the Gonzaga Invitational. First up will be Ball State on Friday at 5 p.m.
